"Bon Jovi", so named because during crate training he screamed like a rock star, is a Scotty grandson. Although he has grown up to be very different in body style than his grandfather, he has inherited his wonderful disposition and attitude from him, as well as other attributes. He inherited beautiful movement from his father, and many other assets from both sides.
When I first brought Bon Jovi home, he didn't hesitate to make himself right at home!
He didn't have many shows to prepare him, but his debut at the 2006 National went very well. Taking 2nd in his class.
There was again a big break, but his first time back in the ring served to be productive, in March 2007 he took WD/BOW/BOS for his first 2 points. I was home with puppies so he was handled by Santiago Pinto, who did a wonderful job keeping a very animated Bon Jovi under controll.
Bon Jovi has been shown very sparingly, due to space issues-I also compete in obedience, rally and agility and have several other dogs traveling and competing at most shows, and can only travel with 3 Danes. Bon Jovi has done well each time he has been shown. His wins are pictured below.

Bon Jovi now has 9 points and is singled out. He is looking for majors to finish and is not yet 2 years old. At this time, majors are hard to find, so it may take awhile to finish him. I hope not. He has shown well so far and the judges have appreciated his movement, as well they should!
We did it! Bon Jovi has his first major. Handled by Perry Payson in Topeka, KS, Aug. 08, Bon Jovi went WD/BOW for his first major under Pat Hasings. One down and one to go!
And now a CHAMPION! Bon Jovi's next show, and ironically at the same show where his grandfather took a 4 pt major, he finishes in Des Moines under Mr. Liebes with Lynda Moriarity handling. Bon Jovi finished quickly, in two years of very sparce showing. His movement exemplifies what a Dane should be.

Bon Jovi isn't finished yet! I brought him out of retirement to start his performance career. He finished her RN quickly, with placements for each leg. 2 seconds and a first placement. 2 of the 3 legs in open competition. He enjoys working and training and has also been started in agility.
He has been aflicted with the disease visitus-a rather common afliction among novice Great Danes in agility. He feels the need to visit each and every human he sees inside the agility ring.
In spite of his handicap, he has managed, in his first few trials, to qualify and pick up his first novice standard leg and his first novice JWW leg. He loves the weaves and tunnels, so this is a plus.
Bon Jovi will be leaving me in April, 2012 to accompany his little nephew Maika'i in Hawaii. His new owner is looking forward to continueing his career. I will continue to update his career here.

The first litter he sired was whelped Aug. 22, 2007. Bon Jovi and Jetania were the proud parents of 10 puppies. Her mothers, and great grandfathers chest, front and angles, her mothers substance and her grandmothers intelligence and disposition. Who is her grandmother? None other than the infamous IntCH,UACH,UCD Liberty's Magic Touch UD,RAE2,OA,AXJ,OAP,OJP,CGC,TDIA,TT,ASCA-HIT, "Vanna".
Liberty's Charismatic is pictured below taking RWB to Winners, a relative that I was also showing that day. It was a tough choice for the judge.

Here are a couple of photos of the girls from that litter at 9 months of age. These girls are in an agility home in Alaska. They certainly still have some maturing to do, but are growing up nicely.
