Pedigree
After only a few shows to get her feet wet, Arwen made her debut at the 2004 GDCA National, with a 4th place win, from a very competitive 6-9 month harlequin puppy class.
Arwen matured a lot between 6 months and 10 months of age.
ARWEN IS POINTED! Only 1 bitch shy of a 3 point major, Arwen takes RWB on Saturday, March 2005, and WB on Sunday, March 2005. She is now pointed, at 12 months of age, out of the bred-by class.
After taking some time off to mature and work on her obedience, Arwen has come back into the conformation ring much more settled. She took RWB in Wichita in April 2006 and then had a bit of a set back, had to take a bit more time off for intestinal surgery. Back on her paws and back in the ring! Nebraska was a good start, with 2 RWB's. On to Topeka, Aug. 2006 and another WB out of the bred-by class under Francine Schwartz.
Although she didn't place-out of a huge bred-by class at the GDCA 2006 National, she showed well and I was quite proud.
On to Tulsa and WB/BOW. I didn't get to show her this time, due to being in another ring with her mother competing in rally. Arwen looked great with Perry Payson on the end of the lead.
Arwen seems to have taken her stride and is becoming very competitive in the conformation ring. She is a big girl and not for every judge, however. She took WB/BOW in Moberly in 07 and many more reserves throughout the year. She is now nearly majors away from finishing her championship. Hopefully 2008 will be her year. Perhaps Arwen will be my first champion and do her mother proud.
We showed in the Bred-By class, a very competitive and huge class, at the 2007 GDCA National. Although she didn't place, she showed very well and I was quite proud of my bred-by girl.
Arwen was busy with other venues beside conformation in 07. She finished her CD in obedience, RA and RE in rally, NAP and NJP in agility. To see pics of her accomlishments there, visit her performance page.
2008 has started with a bang. Her first conformation show she took WB/BOB under BIS judge Mrs. Anselm. Her niece, Liberty's Mission Impossible, "Winners", took RWB the same day.
Although she didn't get a group placement, she showed well and had plenty of energy at the end of the day.
