Below is a picture of a prevous litter out of these two.

There were 7 harlequins, 2 males, 5 females, 2 merles, 1 male, 1 female, 2 fawniquins,1 male, 1 female and 2 fawn mantle females.

Although the fawn mantles and fawniquins are an unacceptable color, they are no lessor a Dane and fall under the catagory of mismarks. Do not be fooled by those that intentionally breed for these "off" colors and call them designer Danes. They can show up in any harlequin breeding; though, like any other mismark, they are not accepted in the conformation ring, and therfore should not be used in a breeding program, but are allowed in the performance ring, as they are no less a Dane in mind and body.

This breeding produced size, substance and yes, many harlequins. I kept one of the males to show, but have not had him out much due to working to finish one of my other males, Bon Jovi. He is now finished, so 2009 will be Winterhawk's turn to shine. He took RWD his first time in the ring, one of the few times I had him out as a pup.

Here he is as 9 months of age and again at 12 months free stacking in the yard.

This litter proved to be as large as the last, however 4 pups were lost, 3 of them harles, 1 a mantled merle. This group of 10 are still healthy and thriving under Jordon's watchful eye.

The following pics are of the puppies at 1 day old.

Here are a few pics of the harle males.

The following are photos of the harle female and then group photos of all of the pups.

It is hard to believe 2 weeks have already passed by. The following are pictures of the puppies between one and two weeks.

The pups were suprised to wake up on ground hog day to Scoobydoo popping up instead of a ground hog. Some were better than others at posing for their two week photos.

It is possible one of these may be a fawn mantle. It can be really hard to tell at birth as the color is very similar and it isn't until they are about 4 weeks old that there is a deffinitive difference.

My sweet valentines are 4 weeks old. It is hard to believe 4 weeks have passed. Click on the photo below to go to view the page with the puppies at 4 weeks of age.

The party puppies are 6 weeks old and ready for Marti Gras. Come party along with them by clicking on the picture below.

The puppies turned 8 weeks old on St Patrick's Day! Click on the St. Pat puppy below to see the puppies at 8 weeks old. 2 females remain available at this time. They are pictured first.
